Head football coach Curt Cignetti and the Dukes closed out this semester's practices Saturday, Nov. 14 in preparation for an eight-game spring season.  Cignetti fills us in on how the Dukes have progressed and provides a few position specifics.

The basketball season is approaching as both JMU men’s and women’s teams are preparing for the playing debut of the Atlantic Union Bank Center on Nov. 25.  The CAA released its preseason teams and polls this week.  The football Dukes have one more scrimmage during the fall session in preparation for a spring schedule.  The Dukes have considerable continuity in their kicking game – a little more on that, and Savannah Marshall shares her conversation with Dominique Johnson. You’ll find Dom keeps things rather light when she is throwing heavy objects for the track and field Dukes. 

Trai Sharp ran for 1,999 yards and scored 17 touchdowns during his career with the Dukes from 2015-18.  He's back in his home state of North Carolina, but keeps a close eye on his Dukes, including those in the backfield.

JMU diving Duke Felicity Ryan is assisting with the Student Athlete Advisory Council's community service project for "Open Doors" in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County.  Learn more about the project and about this sophomore from the three-time CAA Champion Dukes.  Alumna Deanna Forbes was a CAA Champion in track and was among the first in an organization called the Black Athlete Sister Circle.  She shares her story and how BASC is Being the Change.
