JobTlks Podcast is an emerging effort to have positive influence on Firehouse culture and fireground tactics. In Episode 1 we meet the JobTlks crew. We discuss where they are from, the type and size of their respective departments, and a little about their operational realities. We talk about how and why JobTlks came about and some of our goals for the Podcast. The first subject we tackle is the high risk low frequency event. We watch a brief section on a video of Gordon Graham speaking about high risk low frequency events and how me minimize those risks. The entirety of the video goes deeper into recognition prime decision making (RDPM), processes, discretionary and non discretionary time tasks, etc.

After the video id free flowing conversation about our thoughts on the video and how it applies to the fire service. The conversation is meant to replicate the type of conversations you find at the kitchen table in every fire house. We wrap up the conversation with a scene size up of a fire discussing how our different department structures, assets, and operational realities play a factor in our initial actions.
Finally, we come in with the hard hitting question of the day… BACON. Crunchy or soft? We all have an opinion, but there’s only one right answer. Let us know your thoughts, comments, interests, and the answer ro our question of the day in the comments!
