A storm system is producing freezing rain sleet snow and rain in this region. We look at the next storm system for Sunday that moves up the East Coast with rain and snow. Weather in 5  Happy New Year to all! A cold front has moved through and weather conditions will improve this afternoon across the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic states. The next storm is revving up in Texas and that low moves northeast into the Ohio Valley. Low level cold air sets up a round of freezing rain for inland areas from Northern Virginia and West Virgina northeast ot New England for late Friday and Friday night. Another low forms in the Southeast US Sunday and moves up the coast with rain or snow likely.

Weather in 5 A cold front will move through Thursday morning with some showers and a cold high builds in behind it. Low pressure from Texas heads to the Lower Great Lakes Friday night producing freezing rain and rain for the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic states with some snow in Northern New England. Sunday brings another storm system from the Eastern Gulf States with marginal cold air over the Northeast. Some rain and snow seems likely.

Joe  & Joe Weather Show Tuesday December 29, 2020 a busy weather map with a low heading to the Great Lakes with Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings up from the Upper Mississippi Valley to the Great Lakes. Another storm develops in the Gulf States. It will bring severe weather over parts of the South for New Years Eve and New Years Day, more snow for the Great Lakes and snow sleet freezing rain and rain for the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic for New Years Day. Weather in 5 Colder air has returned to the Northeast and Middle Atlantic states as another low heads to the Great Lakes with snow. A stronger storm system is likely to bring rain and prehaps a large area of freezing rain from Pennsylvania northeastward into New England on Friday.

Snow for the Upper Mississippi Valley, Great Lakes, Northern New England, Ice for other areas in the interior Northeast and severe weather across the South and Gulf States.

Weather in 5 A cold front is moving through the Northeast & Mid Atlantic states with not much weather with it. Colder dry air follows. A storm from the Gulf States will move up the west side of the Appalachians Thursday and Friday. This will bring snow north and west of the low track from the Upper Mississippi Valley and Great Lakes to Northern New England with rain from the Ohio Valley to the Mid Atlantic and severe weather in parts of the South.

Weather in 5 on this Christmas Eve seeing a large major storm impacting the Eastern US with just about everything but it is upside down in nature. Snow from the Carolina mountains northward to Western NY. Rain along the coast all the way up to Maine. Severe weather possible from New Jersey to Florida. Winter Storm Warnings, Flash Flood Watches, and High Wind Warnings are up for a large portion of the Eastern US.
