Some of us are trying to do that with our salvation, though. There’s nothing you can do to pay for your sin. It’s useless to pay for something that’s been paid in full, and that’s what’s happened to your sin. Jesus died on the cross and settled your debt, so stop trying to earn your way into a relationship with Him.
