Jesus cleansed the temple of the money changers and sellers of merchandise because of His disgust at what they had made of God’s house of prayer and His zeal to purify it from the abuse of ungodly men. Today, Pastor Mark will be explaining how the Church should be focused on the eternal, not the temporal! Jesus knew that these money-changers were simply taking advantage of people trying to worship God in the temple, by ripping them off. The Lord desires His house to be a house of prayer, focused on the Word of God- not a place for worldly schemes of man. Church is about worshipping the Lord!
