The Pharisees and priests were so irritated by Christ's comments that they planned to have Him executed. Their feelings for their own religious rules drove them to the point where they were willing to kill someone to protect their religion. Even today, you may encounter people who disagree with you and become defensive about their faith.  In today's message, Pastor Mark emphasizes that Christianity is a relationship rather than a religion. Only through Jesus can you get eternal life. Instead of only following the rules, you can begin to develop a relationship with Jesus!
