Since many of us find the best we can do is to work from home, I thought the theme for this week was isolation and renewal.  In addition we can't overlook that Trump and our leaders in the House and Senate knew of the danger before they told us, one Senator told his high rollers and sold off shares with his insider trading. By contrast, I thin there's one leader we should listen to.  We can't overlook where the primaries stand and I have a yarn to finish off the pod cast.  Hope you enjoy it.  John P. The word and our nation is seized by a pandemic - so we've tried to summarize this challenge to all Americans, read the tea leaves where the Democratic primary fight stands, discussed how easy we wrongly make fun of and discriminate against the aged, and lift spirits with a reading by Seamus Heaney, and a few tall Irish tales by yours truly in anticipation of St. Patty's Day - John P. This has been some week in the nation - Biden finds momentum in South Carolina and accelerates into Super Tuesday but will he sustain the effort as he faces the Michigan voters days from now? - our courts under siege - the AG called out for misleading the nation - and the story of a girl in court with a pearl necklace.  I hope you find these thoughts of interest and will make our weekly (for now) podcast a habit.  John P. This is my maiden voyage - my first podcast.  Imagine it's Sunday when we're having this conversation.  I thought of it as a Sunday in NY where I once lived, the paper spread out, bagel and a schmere, with friends talking about the news.  Of course, this podcast is a monologue.  The news is the primaries - the dilemmas facing all candidates, the interference in the elections and what we can expect in the general election - and what we might do.  As a side note, but not breaking news, I pay some homage to my favorite on-air journalist and host - MSNBC's Ari Melber.  I'm hopeful that those who prompted me to start a podcast subscribe and let me know what they want.  John P.
