  • From The Dungeon

Its Halloween! John and Gordy celebrate by doing the show from the subterranean dungeon located beneath the streets of Madison. We talk about Gordy's experience at the Harris rally last night (that he didn't even see Kamala at!), then get into the National Day Calendar as they always do. In What's Trending, the guys talk about SCOTUS's decision that states may purge voters from the rolls at any time, all the way up to election day. Later, we welcome on Dr. Tim Slekar from BustED Pencils to discuss how educators are setting guidelines for AI use. Topics range from legitimate uses of AI in learning, to a historical comparison of another game-changing innovation: pocket calculators.

  • Gloom’s Kryptonite

In hour two, John and Gordy talk the Big Story: Kamala Harris's appearance at the Ellipse last night. They also get into how Trump is now trying to revise what happened at his Madison Square Garden rally over the weekend, calling it a "love fest." We check in with Brittney Merlot for a look at the worldly and interplanetary weather, and later, welcome in Mike McCabe for his weekly appearance. We hear how his book, "Miracles Along County Q," along with signings for it are going, as well as getting the scoop on his latest Substack article. In it he delves into the difference between hope and optimism, and also how hope is gloom's kryptonite, as well as something we all need to have in this dark time of American history.

  • Happy Birthday John & Gordy!

John and Gordy celebrate one year back on the air! They reminisce (and try to remember!) their other one year anniversaries, before getting back on the track of a normal show, covering the National Day Calendar and Today in History with Sam. In the Idiocracy, we plan out our big stunt featuring the John and Gordy balls, then finally get into politics. We discuss Joe Rogan and Trump's appearance on his podcast, and close out with some (unintelligent) clips of Scott Walker praising Trump.

  • I’m Proud to Be a Canadian

Hour two kicks off with more conversation on the Washington Post not endorsing a candidate, as John and Gordy talk with a caller about why not taking a stance is bad for democracy. We get into more from the Trump rally in Madison Square Garden, and the fallout from its Nazi vibe. After talking with Brittney Merlot about the odd (record breaking!) weather, the guys play a couple clips from Puerto Ricans Sunny Hostin and Marc Anthony, angry about anti-Puerto Rican comments from the Madison Square Garden Rally over the weekend.

After the break, after putting a pin in the story of the racist rally over the weekend, the guys move on to the election terrorism taking place at ballot drop boxes, which are being set on fire across the country. Closing out the show, we listen to some music, a very special rendition of Lee Greenwood's God Bless The USA, for Canada

  • The Joy of Idiocracy

On an unseasonably warm October morning, John and Gordy kick off talking about the 80 degree high today before getting into the National Day Calendar for today. We talk Bob Ross during today's look at the history books with Sam, and later in the Idiocracy, we get another edition of MAGAs Say the Darndest Things. The discussion turns to the sheer cognitive dissonance exhibited by Trump fans on the economy, as well as the danger posed by Trump under the new immunity powers of the presidency. Wrapping up the hour, we hear from the editorial board of a respectable newspaper, the New York Times (NOT the Washington Post), endorsing Harris, and also listen to some words from Barack Obama, on how his successor took advantages of his successes.

  • The Third Reich All Over Again

In hour two, we dig into the Big Story from the weekend: Trump's rally in Madison Square Garden, reminiscent of a 1930s Nazi rally held there. The guys talk the non-endorsement of a candidate by the Washington Post, then take a break from politics to look at the weather with Brittney Merlot. At the bottom of the hour, we hear how Trump has always had a "doomsday" outlook on life. Later, we hear about Trump's Nazism with a clip from the Daily Show, and closing out, get into the oddly and unsettlingly pedophilic nature of Trump, as well as Tucker Carlson.

  • Targeting The Amish!

John, Gordy, and Sam are all coming off a long weekend, and have a bit of a slow start (with plenty of chaos!) We cover the National Day Calendar, talk John's fascination with TV in the car, and talk Today in History with Sam. Later, we get into the Idiocracy and discuss Trump's appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast, MAGAs who can't do math, and the Onion article-turned-reality, that is, how the GOP is targeting the Amish, to vote for Trump. Wrapping up the first hour, we hear some words from Michelle Obama, in support of Harris.

  • He’s A Fascist

John and Gordy get right into it in hour two with multiple Big Stories, first hearing about another Republican, the Mayor of Waukesha, endorsing Harris. We listen to a little Yung Gravy, who was back in town this week to promote voting among students, then hear some clips about Harris openly calling Trump a fascist. We talk with Brittney Merlot and get the scoop on the weather today and this weekend, before getting back into the topic of Trump's fascist nature, modeled after dictators like Mussolini. Later, as we do every Friday, we welcome in Rökker for a look at local, live music this weekend, and what's going on with Max Ink Radio this Saturday.

  • Where’s My Million Dollars?

John and Gordy kick off the show in usual fashion, covering the (unusually weird) National Day Calendar. We talk escalators, Frankenstein, and more, before checking in with Sam for Today in History. After the break, in the Idiocracy we hear an ad for an old folk's home, specially built for Trump, and also developments on the petition by Elon Musk that pays people to sign it. We look back four years to se if we were really better off under Trump, like he says he is, and close out with more on Elon's $1,000,000 checks for petition signers

  • For The Green and Gold

In hour two, the guys get into the Big Story: yet more proof from within Trump's current and former circle that he's a fascist. We check in with Brittney Merlot for a look at the weather today and ahead at the weekend, and also resolve the fight from the start of the show about what the temperature was at 6:00. Later, the guys welcome to the show Jim Rice, a historian of the Green Bay Packers who has written about every game the team has played, ever. After we say goodbye to Jim, we wrap up the show with a celebration of Packers music from across the decades.
