He’s been protecting us for more than 40 years, having covered the consumer beat for CBS News, NBC News, and The TODAY Show, among others.

He is currently a contributing editor at Checkbook.org, a nonprofit organization that helps consumers get good service at low prices. He also hosts their Consumerpedia podcast.

Herb tells us all about nutritional supplements and the rules and regulations that go into them, or lack thereof, and after the break, Herb goes through choosing the best mover for you!

With the announcement that there would be no Naperville Rib Fest this year, many of our listeners were sad. Fear not; you can still get your BBQ fix this weekend at the 24th Annual Chicago Rib Fest. The fest occurs on Friday, June 14, from 5 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Sunday, June 15-16, from Noon to 10 p.m. at 4000 N. Lincoln Ave (located at Lincoln/Irving Park/Damen roads). Listen below to hear one of the participants, EJ Boyd, owner of Ogre Eats. They were kind enough to bring us samples of their ribs and potatoes. They were fantastic!
