Our listener asks, “I’m reaching out because I have struggled

with doubt a lot. I have been around a lot of

John MacArthur’s teachings, Calvinism and

Lordship Salvation. I know scripture teaches

we are saved by faith alone. Sometimes I

doubt my salvation because I have been

taught to look at my sin and make sure I’m bearing fruit, cuz if not, you probably didn’t

‘really get saved’ or ‘really have saving faith.’

I really want to overcome this doubt about

my salvation. If you have any advice, I would

appreciate it. Also the whole ‘head faith’

versus ‘heart faith’ has confused me as well. And sometimes I worry greatly about my faith

making sure I’m trusting in Christ alone and

nothing else, and I get anxious about it.
