The Philadelphia Eagles won their first ever Super Bowl 41-33 against the New England Patriots. Madden says when you're in Philadelphia, "you know that you're in a football-crazed town". But no matter who you were rooting for, Madden says the game was one to celebrate and the most exciting Super Bowl he's seen, by far - and exactly what the founders had in mind when they created the Super Bowl. And looking forward to next season, Madden says the Eagles are going to get a lot of great offers for backup quarterback Nick Foles who led the team to the championship and will become a free agent after next season, but says the team shouldn't be tempted to let him go. "As a coach, you've got to defend your championship first, don't foul it up by worrying about something that's going to happen down the line".

With Super Bowl Sunday two days away, the question is, can the Eagles upset the Patriots? On his regular Friday morning interview on KCBS Radio, Former Oakland Raiders Head Coach John Madden says the Eagles can win the game if they follow the game plan the Jaguars tried to implement against New England in the AFC Championship game. But ultimately, Madden’s prediction is, the game will be won in the 4th quarter, and it’ll be the Patriots who hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

Former San Francisco 49er and current Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker led the AFC to a 24-23 comeback win over the NFC in the Pro Bowl. Walker caught the game winning touchdown from Raiders quarterback David Carr with 1:31 remaining.
