The Raiders season has been a big disappointment.  A trendy pick to make the Super Bowl at the start of the season, the Oakland Raiders will now finish the season with a record below 500. On Monday Night football the Philadelphia Eagles clinched the top seed in the NFC with a 19-10 victory over the Raiders.

On his regular Friday morning interview on KCBS Radio, Former Oakland Raiders Head Coach John Madden says that when a team knows it has a solid starting quarterback, all other aspects of the squad, including defense and special teams, begin to fall into place. They also discussed how Garoppolo has influenced the roles of the teams’ receiving corps.

The NFL is checking whether concussion protocol was properly followed Sunday when Houston Texans quarterback Tom Savage was allowed to briefly return to action after a disturbing hit in the end zone that left him with his hands quivering.

The Browns fired Sashi Brown and replaced him with former Chiefs general manager John Dorsey. On his regular Friday morning interview on KCBS Radio, Former Oakland Raiders Head Coach Madden says that despite the changes in the front office, things won’t change quickly for the winless Cleveland Browns.

Despite not getting in the end zone former Oakland Raiders head coach John Madden was very impressed by the debut on new 49ers Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo in the teams 15-14 win over the Chicago Bears.

Crabtree and Talib were ejected from the game in the first quarter after the two started a brawl on the sideline at the end of a play. Raiders lineman Gabe Jackson was also tossed from the game for pushing an official.
