John Pettigrew is a "Lemnos boy", but spent most of his life as an orchardist at Bunbartha north of Shepparton, and itwas in 2007 that he first became aware of and became a climate change activist.
And it was in 2007 that John, along with just a handful of fellow Australians spent some time in Sydney to be trained by former U.S. vice-president and the man behind "The Inconvenient Truth", Al Gore.
Although John declares himself as "fully retired", he appears to busier than ever being a part of groups and organizations that do critical and important local work in the Goulburn Valley and others that advocate on the national stage.
John is presently the president of the Goulburn Valley Environment Group and on the board of GV Community Energy.
