John Vansice was a friend of Jodi Huisentruit's who spent some of the previous days with the missing TV anchorwoman before she disappeared on June 27, 1995.

The former Mason City, Iowa seed salesman was 22 years older than Jodi and his name is often discussed in her case.

Vansice told police that he showed Jodi a videotape at his home the night before she disappeared.
