The overarching principle for the life of a believer related to his money is not to love it – not to love it.

How many times have you encountered Christians bearing with grace the trials of chronic disease, impoverishment, or tragedy, with peace, joy, and faith?

I hope you haven't soon forgotten their example? I hope not, for the Spirit of God convicts and encourages us through the godly examples of our brothers and sisters in distress.

Appealing to the raging masses through any compromise of the truth will only give the enemies of truth the entrance and foothold they need to silence the witness to the truth altogether behind good words like "love" and "acceptance."

Christians must stand firm and teach and proclaim God's truth -- all of it -- nothing more and nothing less!

God does not measure success by the outcome of the program, but by the willingness of the heart of a man to love God and others amid the working out of the project.

This is the truth that must hold our allegiance in a culture where truth is so easily dismissed. We need to care about truth because at the core of our confession is the truth that Jesus is life.

The Bible says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6, NASB). Make sure of your commitment to Christ, then submit every decision you face to Him. When we sincerely want God’s will, above all else, He will help us know what is right.

It's so easy after the victory to say, "This is what I have done." Pride moves in, and that can lead to defeat.

One of your most vulnerable times comes after God has given you a victory, for you may let down your guard. 

And the Devil stands poised to attack again. How do you seal the victory?

From cover to cover, God’s Word points to freedom in Christ. And God doesn’t leave us wondering how to grab hold of the freedom He offers. 

It starts with acknowledging our brokenness—and admitting we are slaves to sin. 

And it ends with choosing Jesus and following Him daily.

Don't give up when you feel down, for where your power ends, the Grace of God begins. He becomes our strength when we remain in Him, and His Word remains in us.

Making ourselves “ready” means we must make ourselves equipped and qualified: 

1) by staying cleansed and sanctified; 

2) by being partakers of Christ’s Life; 

3) by being faithful overcomers; and 

4) by producing good works [“fruit” produced by the Holy Spirit through us].
