Now are we the sons of God” (1 John 3:2). 

This is an amazing fact! Every time I consider it, I am overwhelmed. 

Sometimes when I attempt to share this with others, I get all choked up and teary-eyed. I am deeply moved that God has granted you and me the privilege of being His sons and daughters. You might want to take a moment to reflect on this very fact.

The difference between knowing and believing. 

For example, you believe that you are beautiful, but people know that you are not.

Life’s emergencies are not about us they are about God. When we face them with Jesus we are assured that our heavenly Father will get the glory.

America is far from being a Monotheistic nation much less a Christian nation. Even the church at large should be defined as being henotheistic.

Jesus claimed that to know Him was to know God, to see Him was to see God, to receive Him was to receive God, to believe Him was to believe in God, and to honor Him was to honor God, while to hate Him was to hate God.

You don’t need to climb to some level of self-righteousness. There isn’t some kind of escalating ladder of beings that you climb up to get to God. There is only one, and He is able to fully reconcile a man to God.

She didn’t know Jesus was watching her until she got to heaven, where she was richly rewarded. He not only knew how much she gave but in His omniscience, He even knew that it was all she had to live on.

Be steadfast in prayer and ready for battle - Know that you are in enemy territory, and you are here to fight for God’s Kingdom in worship. Watch for those fiery darts, hold up your shield of faith, and put on the armor of God (Ephesians 6).

The interesting thing is that when God made us He did not put a steering wheel on any of us. 

Why? Because He wants to guide our lives. He wants us to come to Him for salvation first, and then He wants to take charge of our lives.

As you watch and wonder, the Lamb comes to the throne and takes the scroll from the One who sits on it. The thought comes quickly that the Lamb can take the scroll because he is worthy and he is worthy because he was slain and he is able to take the scroll because, though he was dead, he has come back to life.
