On this Friyay edition of The Jon Chuckery Show, Jon kicks off the show by Setting the table, and talking about what is on deck for tonight’s show. Next, Chuck talked about the Braves Opening Day game against the Mets, and Frank de Boer and Atlanta United mutually agreed to part ways. Jon continues hour one by interviewing NFL Insider for Yahoo Sports Eric Edholm. Jon and Eric first discuss how the NFL and NFLPA are coming along in their talks in resuming play safely. Jon asked Eric if he thinks the NFL has been lazy in their efforts to come up with a testing protocol, and Eric says “He doesn’t agree with that” and he thinks the NFL “took a breath” after the NFL Draft.” Next, Eric and Chuckery discuss if the NFL are moving towards getting rid of the preseason, or if this season is just a one time deal. Eric says “it depends on how this season goes. If the product at the beginning of the season is sloppy then coaches might be against getting rid of the pre-season.” Lastly, Jon and Eric discuss the free-agent market, and if there will be any rush by any teams to sign any free agents. To close out hour one of this Friyay edition of The Jon Chuckery Show, Chuckery poses the question regarding why Frank de Boer has to go, but Dan gets to stay.
