Jon Reads Comics

Here is a promo I put together for the show.  If you like it, I would be ever so grateful if you used it in your own corner of the Internet to promote this show.  If you do so, and you let me know via email, I will be glad to give your show a shout-out on an episode here.  Thanks so much!

Can you believe it?  We’ve made it through an entire year.  And to celebrate, the Classics gang takes a break from comic coverage to take a look through the DeLorean’s rearview mirror at how the show began.  But after a few minutes of that, it’s time to break out your DVD players as we watch Spider-Man (2002) with an in-film movie commentary.  Hope you enjoy, and we’ll be back with regular comic coverage next episode!

So stay tuned to the end, and in the meantime, you are welcome to send us an email and let us know what you think, or share your thoughts in the comment section below.  And we always enjoy receiving reviews on iTunes, which will also receive response on the show.  Thank you so much for listening!

Come and listen to a story about a man named …. um, Superman.  Something something something that rhymes with ood, and up through the ground came a bubblin’ crude.  Oil, that is.  Black gold.  Texas tea.  This week on Golden Age Superman, the champion of the helpless and oppressed faces off with some crooked stock brokers who are making money off a fake oil well.  The Man of Steel risks everything he has in the hopes of exposing their scheme.  Come check out the episode to see how it all turns out!

How do you feel about chain gangs? Superman hates them. But he doesn’t mind using the pain of prisoners along the way to taking one down.  It’s Action Comics 10 on this episode of Golden Age Superman, and Superman decides to expose the corruptions within the prison labor system.  Problem is, he chooses one of the worst ways possible to do it.  Come check it out!
