Joseph fell into bed exhausted. He was soon asleep, and he dreamed. He dreamed of happiness and he dreamed of sorrow. He dreamed of Mary who was so bright and beautiful, and he dreamed of her living in exile and shame because of the child. And as he dreamed a light began to show in the corners of his mind. And the angel told him words that pierced and comforted his heart at the same time.
