This week we're teaching around the question, “Who touched me?” from Luke 8. It’s all about coming out of the shadows and expressing our need for help. Our need for God.
When Jesus approaches the paralyzed man, he asks him, "Do you want to get well?"
We may think the obvious answer is "Are you kidding me? Of course the paralyzed man wants to get well." But Jesus is asking, "Do you want to get well... really?"
Sometimes we say we want healing, but our actions don't line up.
Where are you looking for healing?
Are you willing to try something else?
Are you willing to lean into the words of Jesus?
One of the first questions Jesus asked when he began his ministry, “What do you want?” How would you answer that question? What do you truly want in life? How we answer this question determines the course of our time on earth.
Sometimes we get to these places where we feel like we can't move forward because it's too difficult.
We get right to the edge of breakthrough, and then we stop, quit or get stuck. When we step into uncharted territory, sometimes the only way out is through.
Risk taking is not the same as being reckless, but it does require a level of uncertainty to step out. We'll explore the space between certainty and uncertainty, where courage and faith become essential.
What happens when life gets interrupted?
We all have a plan on how we think our lives should go. Then life interrupts and we find ourselves in uncharted territory — somewhere we didn't expect to be.
We all face transitions. New seasons and stages that upset our routines, comfort and peace of mind.
Sometimes God calls us beyond our capacity to understand or our ability to handle. He calls us into these inconvenient, difficult places.
We'll walk through the story of Joseph's life to see how he navigated life’s uncertain twists and turns.
Are you going through a significant change?
We all face transitions. New seasons and stages that upset our routines, comfort and peace of mind.
Maybe, you find yourself in UNCHARTED territory, paralyzed by anxiety about what the future holds.
Maybe you've looked around and asked yourself, what is going on in the world? In my community? In my neighborhood? In my kid's school?
How can we get back to better?
How can we work for the peace and prosperity of our community?
We could complain, dismiss or retreat — but there's a better way. God has placed you here to make a difference. We'll talk about how to leverage our influence and reach our communities.
It's our friends that determine the direction and quality of our lives.
We don't just get friendships — we build them. They are not built by chance, but by choice.
We're talking about habits that will help us get back to better, next steps to overcome the feeling of loneliness and ways to develop great relationships.
We're only as happy as our family is healthy. When there is strife, disappointment, contention, uncertainty and your family just isn't where it should be, you can feel unsettled.
Every family has a culture, and that culture is either by design or by default. We drift if we don't set the tone for what we want our family to be like.
Let's talk about habits that will help us get back to better in our marriages, close family relationships, with our kids and with our parents.
Have you drifted? Settled?
Do you need to make a comeback?
Maybe it’s time to GET BACK TO BETTER.
Better decisions.
Better habits.
Better family.
Better friends.
A better future.
We've kicked off a new teaching series that will help you get back on track to a better life with God.
