I didn’t write anything down. I hit record and just start speaking. Listen to the end and let me know what y’all think.

A year and a half ago, I wanted life to start over for me. It was so much going on like it always was for me. It started to be too much for me this time around. So I ran until I had to come back and start over.

My first glass of wine was during thanksgiving dinner over a decade ago and I have been hooked ever since. I have tried many brands and all the categories such as dry, sweet, bitter, taste better cold, etc. Some of my best poems was created after a glass of wine. To me, a wine high feels like I’m on a fluffy cloud relaxing and my thought are silenced to give me a clear mind.

Things just kept spiraling down here for me. It decided to give away my innocence fully and it felt good for awhile. Then when texts and calls started to get ignored. I felt like crap so I decided to write

Sometimes we travel down different pathway to get to our journey that will help is complete our goals. My life has did a 180 to be able to complete career goals. My childhood home has to be reconstructed and I’m one of the helpers. So I’m going back down memory lane to start a new journey

As I was growing up I felt like my father only knew my name and would always scream it for me to get stuff for him. I got tired of it and asked did you know anyone else name? Come to find out I was his favorite. They did not change the fact that I wanted to not have a name. I wanted to somehow be invisible from the world and just live without any judgement but there will always be someone asking for your name and I wonder how many people will help you when you are in deep trouble. Sometimes you only need one but sometimes a village happens too

We are days away from the new year and this poem explains my feeling at this moment. It was written my first year in college when I didn’t know where I belonged so I searched for the answer. I had a full proof plan to finish all four years and something kept holding me back. Little did I know I was holding myself back
