  • Paul van der Merwe Author of Lucky Go Happy & Guinness Record Holder
Napoleon Hill Foundation Certified Instructor Tom Cunningham (too tall) interviews Paul van der Merwe.
Paul van der Merwe is a mechanical engineer, published author and a Guinness World Record holder.
Paul was born and raised in South Africa where he continues to live and work today.
Following the completion of his mechanical engineering degree at the University of Pretoria, Paul started his career as a junior engineer on a diamond mine in the desolate Northern Cape Province.
It is during this period in his life, with time to burn over weekends, that Paul set off to achieve his lifelong dream of getting into the Guinness Book of Records.  In May 1999, he set a new Guinness World Record, by throwing a beer bottle cap a distance of 229 feet.
Returning to South Africa in 2000, Paul joined an engineering contracting firm that executes large capital projects for the international mining and minerals industry.  He has been involved in the design, procurement, construction and commissioning of various process plants.  Paul moved through the ranks during his 15 year stint with the company, and currently holds the position of Engineering Manager.

  • Bob Burg Author of The Go-Giver, Endless Referrals and Adversaries into Allies
Peter G Goral and Cate Moore interview Bob Burg.
Bob Burg is a sought-after speaker at corporate conferences and for entrepreneurial events. He regularly addresses audiences ranging in size from 50 to 16,000 – sharing the platform with notables including today’s top thought leaders, broadcast personalities, Olympic athletes and political leaders including a former United States President.
Although for years he was best known for his book Endless Referrals, over the past few years it’s his business parable, The Go-Giver (coauthored with John David Mann) that has captured the heart and imagination of his readers. It shot to #6 on The Wall Street Journal’s Business Bestsellers list just three weeks after its release and reached #9 on BusinessWeek’s. It’s been translated into 21 languages, and it’s his fourth book to sell over 250,000 copies.
Bob believes his new book, Adversaries into Allies: Win People Over Without Manipulation or Coercion is by far his most important work yet.

The Napoleon Hill Foundation French Lick Leader Certification trip featured several Foundation VIP's and people from many countries.
Havilah Malone, Brenda Dear, Lupita Williamson and Saundra Richardson talk about their experience with the French Lick trip, the Leader Certification process and the upcoming Caribbean cruise in November 2015. Joining me as a co-host for the show was Colin Gilmartin who attended one of the Foundation trips to Ireland, which I also attended.
The Napoleon Hill Foundation Leader Certification process involves several steps and take about 18 months to complete.

The trips are magical. You get to spend time with like minded people from around the world. These people come from all walks of life and have diverse work backgrounds.
There are often Napoleon Hill Foundation VIP's in attendance including Dr JB Hill, grandson of Napoleon Hill, and Don Green, Executive Director of the Foundation.
The next Certification trip will be on a Caribbean cruise in November 2015.  The trip will feature, for the very first time, classes led in Spanish by Aristoteles Nielsen from Argentina and Lupita Williamson, daughter-in-law of Judy Williamson.
The Spanish market is a huge new market for the Foundation and people taking the course in Spanish will get very special pricing for the trip and the course. For details of the trip email the Foundation travel agent, and all around amazing lady, Pat Andreatta at [email protected]

  • PKD Foundation of Canada Celebrates Kidney Month
With March being National Kidney Month, PKD Foundation of Canada Executive Director, Jeff Robertson, and volunteer Toronto Chapter Coordinator, Matan Volach joined Napoleon Hill Foundation Certified Instructor and Resiliency Expert Tom Cunningham (too tall) to discuss the Foundation and the work they do.
The PKD Foundation of Canada is the only national organization solely dedicated to raising funds and awareness for polycystic kidney disease, or PKD.
The mission of the Foundation is to promote programs of research, advocacy, education, support and awareness, in order to discover treatments and an eventual cure for this often devastating disease.
Both Jeff and Matan have personal ties to this hereditary disease, which serves as their fuel in the fight to end PKD.  Polycystic kidney disease (PKD for short) is a genetic disease that causes fluid filled cysts to attack the affected organ; predominantly the kidney.
Approximately 1 in 500 – 1000 people are affected by PKD, and there is currently no cure.  Until one is found, PKD will threaten the lives of every generation of every family affected.
It equally affects men, women and children, regardless of age, race, geography or ethnic origin.  Starting as a provincial organization back in 1994 with one Toronto Chapter, the PKD Foundation of Canada incorporated on a national level 6 years ago and now has local Chapters stretching as far west as Vancouver, British Columbia and as far east as Corner Brook Newfoundland. These Chapters serve as the voice and support for the local PKD community, and provide people with a way to stay connected with one another on their PKD journeys.
