From November 2005 until March 2014 Mark Walden had the great fortune to work for two of the best companies in Canada, Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and Bank of Montreal (BMO).

During this time he met a lot of great people, many who he is blessed to now call friends. In 2007 he co-founded The Treble Victor Group (3V), a vibrant business network of ex-service (military) leaders. Tom Sutter is a multi-threat professional – the serious job that pays the bills, the fun job that pays the heart, a published author and inspirational speaker.  At Crum-Halsted Insurance in Sycamore, Illinois, Tom is the Vice President of Sales & Business Development which involves the recruiting, training and development of insurance producers while maintaining and growing his own book insurance business.

After losing their oldest of seven children, Cal, to leukemia at the age of 13,  Tom and his wife co-founded Cal’s Angels a non-profit organization located in South Elgin, Illinois, that grants the wishes of children battling cancer and financially assists their families. Tom is the president of the organization and his duties include chief fundraiser, branding and marketing. Since 2007 Cal’s Angels has raised over $2,000,000 after expenses allowing them to assist over 600 pediatric cancer families.

All of Tom’s life experiences provided the impetus to write a book “Bitter or Better – Crushing Life’s Losses Into Victories” based on the principle that no matter what life throws at you there is no reason to let anything but you and your mind control your destiny.
