Let us be usual, common, mundane people who are willing to be poured out so that others can be filled up and sent out so that others can be brought in.

Questions to Consider

1. How do you define greatness in a person? How did Jesus define greatness? (Mark 10:43-45)
2. (v. 2:17-18) Paul was ‘poured out’ so that others would be filled up. Where do you resist being poured out for the benefit of others? What is one way you can repent and be poured out today?
3. (v. 2:19-23) Timothy was ‘sent out’ so that others would be brought in. The mission of the Church has always been to “Go, make disciples!’ What are some ways that comfort and complacency have kept you from seeing your neighborhood and workplace as a mission field? What is one step you can take toward repentance and reengagement?
4. (v. 2:25-30) Epaphroditus was ‘wrung out’ so that others might be helped up. How has the desire for the sensational, dramatic and extraordinary distracted you from the beauty of seeing Jesus work in the normal, ordinary, mundane things of life? How have others been impactful in your discipleship and pursuit of Jesus? Where can you enter into other’s lives to make much of Jesus?
