Kristin and Brian (mostly Kristin this week) share from John 16:16-33.  Jesus describes how sorrow turns to joy and how He has overcome the world.

Brian and Kristin dive deep into this incredible passage of Scripture.  Jesus, in some of his last peaceful moments with his disciples, describes the work of the Holy Spirit and why it is necessary for Him to leave so the Spirit can come.  The disciples are stunned and confused, but Jesus insists that the coming of the Holy Spirit will empower them to take the gospel to the ends of the earth.

Brian and Kristin wrap up chapter 15 of the Book of John this week and what a way to end!  Jesus assures his disciples that the world will hate them because of who they belong to - Jesus, himself.

This week Brian and Kristin walk through a powerful and challenging passage where Christ is encouraging his disciples to bear good fruit, to obey his commandments to love one another, and to go while bearing good fruit!  They also get into a little tangent about Sam's Club at the beginning, but "bear" with them as they have fun talking about their week leading into a great time of study.

Brian and Kristin are back to discuss the second half of John 14, and this is an incredible portion of Scripture! They talk about the state of the disciples, the peace Jesus is trying to share with them, the promise of the Helper (the Holy Spirit), and more.

Brian and Kristin are back after a week off and dive into John 13:18-38. In this passage Jesus and the disciples are lounging around the dinner table and Jesus points out who his betrayer will be - Judas. He also powerfully encourages his disciples to love one another (as Christ loves them) and that, in doing so, the world will know that they belong to Jesus. We also see Peter insist that he will defend Jesus with his life, at which point Jesus predicts the three denials. You don't want to miss this powerful episode of Joy & Java!

Brian flies solo this week and describes a big vision for the Pursuit Friends Network of House Churches for the next year.  This past Sunday was another one of our monthly Night of Worship gatherings and Brian describes the experience. 

Brian and Kristin discuss Sunday's joint service with Kent Chinese Friends Church and Winona Friends Church in Stow, Ohio.  Dr. Greg Miller, President of Malone University joined us as he shared from Ephesians 3.  We were also blessed to have a surprise visit from Rusty Savage, Director of Multiplication for EFC-ER!  It was a blessed time in the Lord as three churches and a University came together in unity to worship and fellowship.
