Joy to the world, the Lord is come! Joy comes through accepting the free gift of salvation, “Good news of great joy” (Luke 2:10), which is both eternal and for the temporal life. True joy comes from putting your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. This joy God provides doesn’t depend on circumstances or details in your life. It comes through the filling of the Holy Spirit and having the Word of God in the mentality of your soul. The Bible is joy. “Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart” (Jer 15:16). The lack of joy is unhealthy. “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones” (Prov 17:22). The greatest joy we can ever have is to know we are completely in the center of the will of God fulfilling His plan for our lives.
