Most writers struggle with creative inferiority complex, fearing that they're not good enough in some capacity to succeed with their creative work.
But today, I want to flip the script and talk about the opposite of creative inferiority: creative *superiority* complex.
We've all encountered writers who think they're better than other writers, who can't handle the kindest word of criticism and who are all too fond of calling their perceived enemies 'haters' and 'trolls.'
But what you might not realize is that thoughts of creative superiority commonly arise in every writer's life, especially as they begin to grow and develop skill in their craft.
That's why we're going to dive into creative superiority complex in today's episode. So that we can understand where it comes from, how it's operating as a defense mechanism, and how we can begin to heal from conditioning that pits writer against writer as we all work to achieve our personal definitions of writing success.

Today, to have a bit of fun, we're pumping the breaks on the heavy stuff to discuss three joyful writing lessons we can take away from Disney's latest animated film 'Encanto.'
Warning: major spoilers ahead

As you begin to address your old conditioning and work to adopt new beliefs, you're almost certain to experience mental growing pains.
It's not uncommon for self-limiting thoughts and fears to blare louder than ever before because the process of reconditioning asks us to challenge our sense of identity and safety in ways that our minds perceive as threat.
In today's episode, we are going to explore the four main ways that your body reacts to internal challenge and the steps you can take to care for body and mind alike as you commit to the work of leveling up your creative mindset.

What does this mean exactly? In today's episode, we're going to explore this statement in greater depth.
