1. I cannot trust the Bible because it was written by man - From Whit
2. Why did Jesus cry out on the cross, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Is it related to Psalm 22? Is it a moment of questioning and not understanding his Father’s intention for all his suffering?
3. Pastor Adam, are the promises of God given according to repentance, sacrifice, and obedience (i.e. Deuteronomy 28) or according to forgiveness, mercy and grace (i.e. crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus)? - Chris Flores
4. Good Evening Pastor Adam, and hi to you mom - I’ve been struggling with building a personal connection and communication with the Lord. It seems my confusion is furthered by what Jesus spoke in Luke chapter 10 verse 22, where in it it reads “…No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.” Does this mean that I cannot know Jesus unless he reveals himself to me, instead of me seeking Him, and if so how do I let the Lord reveal Himself to me? Thank you - Andrew Heilman

1. Will you ever be made a bishop like your dad? – Josh
2. What is the most important holy site you’ve ever visited? – Salina
3. Am I a bad Christian or am I sinning if I eat meat on Friday during lent?
4. Why did Jesus say “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” While he was on the cross? Why did he feel like he was separated from God at that moment? - Angelina
5. In Exodus 4:24-26. God was about to kill Moses “At a lodging place along the way, the Lord met Moses and was about to kill him.” Then his wife saves him by cutting off their sons foreskin and touching Moses’s feet with it, sparing Moses his life. But it doesn’t go into why he wanted to kill him. So my question is, why would God want to kill Moses after choosing him to free his people? I would really love to know why, thanks! - Brandon G
6. Are we brother’s keeper? - Theresa Serrano
7. Good day, Pastor Adam, and hello future me, I was wondering – if mankind was given the capacity to believe in other other things, and if they are protected by the first amendment, at least in this country to believe in what they want, is it then respectful or right to kindly disregard their thoughts, and evangelize our interpretation of the word to them? - Andrew Heilman

1. A little preface before my question, as you may, or may not remember, I’ve talked to you about how I listen to a rabbi who accepted Jesus as his Messiah every morning. He obviously was kicked out of the synagogue. He has stated, as well as others, that when Adam and Eve send, they immediately died spiritually. And because of this, according to Genesis, 5:3, Adam and Eve had Seth in their image and likeness, spiritually dead! So, mankind has to accept the forgiveness of God by believing that Christ was crucified and raised from the dead three days later. Then, we are reborn and baptized ( immersed ) with the Holy Spirit! We become spiritually alive in Christ! Christ says that the Holy Spirit is in us. Here is my question - Because sin is evil, and the penalty for sin is death, and your humble opinion, do you believe that there are any sin we could commit to cause the holy spirit to leave us? Considering the fact that his death and resurrection took away the sin of the world to provide forgiveness from our heavenly father? Scripture states that God has forgiven and forgets all of our sins, past, present, and future. Thank you for your insight! - Chris Flores
2. Why is blaspheming the Holy Spirit the only unforgivable sin? - Charles
3. Why don’t miracles happen daily?? - Stacy

Questions:
1. A question for Ask Adam, Isaiah 7:14 is quoted as prophecy fulfilled in Jesus by Matthew…. 14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.15 Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good. 16 For before the Child shall know to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land that you dread will be forsaken by both her kings.
This scripture is quoted a lot during Christmas, but in Isaiah it’s directed to King Ahaz who obviously was not around during Jesus’ time.
Due to vs 15 talking about what “He” will eat which is not mentioned anywhere else about Jesus and how vs 16 discusses how the child will need to grow to know diff between right or wrong…
My question is: is this passage talking about another birth in addition to Jesus’ birth? And why did Matthew pick this instead of other prophecies about Jesus birth? - Pastor Isaac - email submission
2. Why do Matthew & Luke’s genealogies vary… one ends with Mary other Joseph??
Matteo - via text submission
3. Can you please explain what the firmament is? Is it a metaphor for something or a real, physical barrier, followers of the Bible believe in? We have satellites everywhere in the skies as well as rockets shot into space for exploration. It would seem difficult to do those things if there is a barrier stopping us. Thanks! - Brandon G - online submission
4.My family and I were doing our devotions and were interested by all the people in the Bible with the name Herod. We were wondering if you could help us understand who they are and what each one is known for; the killing of baby boys under 2 after Jesus’ birth, the beheading of John the Baptist, who Jesus was taken before at his trial, who killed James and imprisoned Peter, etc.
thank you - Ryan Welch - email submission.
5. Why was Mary the one that was chosen to hold Jesus? And could there be another Mary in the future? - Anya from the box
6. Are we still serving/worshipping God when celebrating all the holidays, for some would say that all the holidays are the seven sins of man… for example Christmas = greedy, Valentine’s Day = Lust or Thanksgiving = Gluttony. So, are we not serving God when we celebrate these holidays? - Anonymous from the box
7. Was there a lamb served at last supper?? Ryan - via text submission
8. Why in John 1:21 does John the Baptist say to the priest he is not Elijah when in Matthew 11:14 Jesus says John is Elijah? - Ryan Welch- email submission

Questions:
1. Are fallen angels destined to go to hell from the beginning? Or can they be redeemed along with us by Jesus is sacrifice on the cross? - Josh Welch. - online submission
2. In Genesis 1:26 it says “then God said, let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea, and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”… My question is, who is the US and OUR that the scripture is referring to. - Brandon G. - online submission
3. Have you ever or would you ever be open to an apologetics debate with Catholics or orthodox Christians to get to the heart of the faith? It seems every Catholic I ever meet is just obsessed with the birth of the church and laying claim to it while undermining a lot of irreconcilable issues. Then the orthodox friends I have think both Catholics and protestants are missing the mark because they see us as reformed Catholics essentially. Franko Tanko. - online submission

Questions:
Why are there no crosses in the church? - Izzy
Hello pastor Adam and Pastor Jessica! Great job with the podcast! It's very informative and a great way to learn about the Bible through questions that myself and others might have.... and I have a lot of questions, believe me LOL! I appreciate what you guys do! But I'll just keep it to one question today. In Genesis 4:14 Cain slayed his brother Abel, he says to God, "and it shall come to pass, that everyone that findeth me, shall slay me." Who is everyone that he's referring to? Isn't Cain, Able, Adam and Eve the only ones mentioned in the Bible to that point? I noticed that in Genesis more and more people start to show up. Where did they come from? If you've already answered this question before on the podcast, I apologize. Also, if my question isn’t accurate, I apologize as well. I look forward to hearing more podcasts from you in the upcoming new year! Thanks for your time! - Brandon Garcia (App)
Where was the garden of Eden and has any archeological digs confirmed any location? - Stephen
The lost years of Jesus refer to which years? - Taylor
Is the second coming of Jesus at the time of the rapture? Or is the second coming when he reigns on earth for a thousand years? (App)
If Jesus truly ‘knew all’ then that would mean that he would know Judas would betray him… so why keep him in the disciples and team? - Carlos
Why vinegar on the cross? Vinegar can have a stimulant like effect like smelling salts…wouldn’t something else be better? - Charles
Why don’t Christian’s follow kosher eating like Jews? - Barbra
What is your definition of “gossip” ? How is it different than say, ‘processing with a friend’ or going through life together? (Box)

Questions:
Is there a difference between reading the Bible just for its “face value” and exegetical study? Is one way better than the other? (Text)
How long of a period of time does the New Testament cover? (Box)
Names of God Questions:
How many names of God are there in the Bible?
Thankfully in my walk to have attended many services where a Pastor can list many of the names of God in memorized fashion, like: Jehovah Shalom, El Shaddai, El Elton, El Ohim, Yahweh… but as I was looking up the “Names of God” I couldn’t find the Lord specifically being called by these “names”. For example there is no direct calling of our Lord as Jehovah Jireh” but instead the commentaries refer to Genesis 22:14 when Abraham names the place the ram was provided for his sacrifice as “The- Lord-Will-Provide” or “Yahweh-Yireh'' … my question is: was there a group of clergy which determined “these XYZ names are the names of God” or did they just happen to evolve over time? - Jessica
What do we know about Jesus’ ‘new name’? “I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write to him , " My new name.” Rev 3:12 (Box)
Personal Question/ Question for reflection:

Welcome eveyone to the Ask Adam + episode of December! Here, Pastor Adam & Jessica take on questions that relate to our monthly theme! Please submit any questions you may have about anything biblical, historical, or spiritual!
Questions:
1.Pastor Adam, my question regards the Resurrection. If it is written in John’s Gospel that Jesus was crucified on Thursday, could it be argued that the other 3 synoptic gospels would agree with this day, according to Jesus’ own words when He proclaimed the sign of Jonah as His testimony to being the Messiah? - Chris
2.Does 2 Samuel 21:19 indicate that Elhanan actually killed Goliath not David? Some translations say he killed the brother of Goliath but the original text (Hebrew) doesn’t seem to say that. - Ryan
3.I’m reading in Luke 19:22 His master reply will judge you by your own word. you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow. Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest?’ This is the parable that Jesus talked about with the 10 minas, and I don’t understand how it applies to us. Here in life and what Jesus meant. - Theresa
4.How do you discern the voice of God and be able to know His voice and words versus your own thoughts? - Angelina
5.Did Jewish slaves really build the pyramids? - Tom
6.In light of recent events, I've found it difficult to agree or fully understand those who proclaim complete support for Israel. From what I understand, Israel has killed nearly 3,000 civilians in Palestine through their bombings, 700 of them being children. While this was an act of retaliation due to the attack from Hamas, 3,000 civilian deaths seem like a disproportionate retaliation compared to Hamas' 1,400 Israeli deaths in their initial attack a few weeks ago. This, along with Israel cutting off water, food supply, and electricity in Palestine, a rise of islamophobia across the Western world, and Israel continuing to maintain illegal blockades across Palestine makes it very difficult for me to support Israel. It seems easier to criticize Hamas, as they are a terrorist organization. And while they deserve every bit of criticism thrown at them, people seem to ignore the very similar atrocities Israel has committed. Yet, I do know that the Bible says that we should pray for the good of Jerusalem and that God promised Abraham that his covenant would forever cover his people. The amount of antisemitism that has begun to pop up in the USA is also unjustifiable of course. Therefore, my main question is, is it unbiblical to not "stand with Israel"? If it is, would you have to remain uncritical of their government's actions to stand with them? Thank you for your consideration. -James
