I remember my son’s baseball coach would tell his fielders: “On every pitch, be saying to yourself: ‘hit it to me! hit it to me!’”. Why did he say that? Because he wanted them always to be ready. So when the ball is hit to them, they’ll field it successfully and make a good play. Confidence is a good thing! In today’s message, Pastor Mark doesn’t want to discourage confidence, but he does want to warn you about overconfidence. You may be a strong Christian.
