Have you ever tried to wake up a deep sleeper? You try a gentle voice or nudge, and as you increase the volume, you find that the only thing that works is a shocking level of noise or even shaking the person till they come to. In a spiritual sense, much of the world around us is in a deep slumber, and if needed, God will use shock to get people’s attention. As Pastor Mark will challenge us in today’s message, we need to be diligently spreading the Gospel as Christ’s return approaches. Start with the soft, gentle nudges, but if it means the difference between Heaven or Hell for the lost, we can’t be afraid to get loud.
