It’s easy to praise God after winning a victory. Before and during the battle, our prayers often sound something like, “God if you help us win, we’ll dedicate ourselves to serving you…” Then, in the times we experience defeat, we question Him and how He can really be good while wicked forces prevail. As followers of Jesus, faith in Him is the bedrock we build our lives on. We can look back at the ways He’s helped us and those experiences encourage our faith, but ultimately, as Pastor Mark will remind us today, faith means that we can praise God and trust in Him before we experience victory, and even in the midst of defeat.
