Juggalo Judgment

Special episode is coming your way, because Mike Check has its first guest, and it's none other than that awesome Juggalo historian himself, Jeremy, better known as TheHomieJigglz! We literally just talk about a whole lot of stuff, like some albums coming out, thoughts on some prior releases, and cap it off with a Top 5 list. This is a LONG episode and it's super casual, so buckle up.

It's 198X, and you're in the record store looking for something new. Suddenly your eyes are drawn to a Judas Priest album bearing the image of this big fuckin' metal eagle swooping down across a yellow background, and you think "I need this album immediately." Upon getting home and listening to it, you were right, and you'll be back for more in no time. Back here in the present, some people who weren't around to have that experience talk about that very album. Does it hold up? Is Rob Halford still one of the greatest voices in metal? How many solos can Schmeev get away with playing on this episode? Find out as we talk about Screaming for Vengeance.

Mike is here to remind you that he's a dumb wrestling nerd, but he mostly talks about some stuff that's been going on, like his guest appearance on the What Is A Juggalo podcast, the budding bromance between IC(U)PW/WE and Juggalo Judgment, and a 420 blaze it stream you should consider checking out!

(Also, this episode was recorded in front of a live studio audience! If you wanna be a part of it, follow Mike on twitch.tv/xTheOriginalSEJx and keep an eye on the socials! He's streaming video games on there every now and then and may also be recording future episodes of Mike Check there, so you can peep it early and even ask questions to be answered there if you want!)

Way back in 1987, Capcom released a video game called Mega Man. A year later they released a GOOD video game called Mega Man 2, and the rest is history. We're here today to talk about one of the many bands inspired by this franchise, The Protomen. What the hell does this have to do with juggalo music? How did Schmeev forget to talk about beloved hype man Kilroy, who plays a sledgehammer on stage? Why are we skipping Act I? Find out as Schmeev drags Mike along for Act II - The Father of Death.

We're at the tail-end of March, which means it's OBVIOUSLY time to get in the holiday spirit. Which holiday, you ask? Halloween, bitch! Hallowicked is one of ICP's most important shows of the year, and at every one, a limited single was pressed up exclusively for those who attended. Now, we've heard a couple of these tracks crop up here and there on some prior collections, but in 2005, ICP included a full compilation of all the Hallowicked tracks made up to that point and packaged it with Forgotten Freshness 4. Does this compilation track the evolution of the Wicked Clowns in a concise way? Do ICP grab some big names to hop on the spooky tracks? Does Schmeev find anything appealing about anything aside from "Every Halloween", a stand-out track from FF3? Find out this and more today. Trick or treat, what's in the bag? Hallowicked Compilation.

HEY EVERYONE!

Freshness is always fresh. It doesn't matter how new or old it is. If it's fresh, it's fresh. It's for that very reason that Mike, when given the opportunity to grab ANY album of ICP's catalog, he beelined straight to this one. It has nothing to do with the fact that it was 2 discs and only cost him like $13. This album right here is what helped mold Mike into the Juggalo he is today, for better or worse. Does Schmeev think it's any good? Should this HAVE been forgotten? And does MC Breed show up out of nowhere to add even more flavor when no one expected him to? The answers await inside. It was was fresh once, it was fresh twice, it was even fresh three times. But THIS... is Forgotten Freshness, Volume 4.

Blaze and ABK have been collaborating for years, showing up on each other's records, more often than not creating some of the best tracks on their respective albums. Something about a dead gangster and a Native American just clicked, ya know? But there's more to them just dead stuff and Native American stuff, too. Do we ever really find out what it means when they do a full album? Find out for yourself here. Tell Train that this IS a Drive-By, and THIS is... Pony Down.

After months and months of waiting, we finally have not 1, but 2 brand spankin' new EP's from the wicked clowns. Well, 2 if you subscribed to the first 2 months of the Patreon, but at least the 2nd is available for everyone to hear! Yup, ICP's House Party Peep Show and Yum Yum's Lure are unleashed and Mike has been listening to them like crazy. He goes over those EP's, as well as the 2nd and 3rd shows of MNE's For The Fam Friday streams, covering Oh! The Horror and ABK!

Btw, Mike is finally streaming games on Twitch! He's done a bit of a variety to get a feel for it, so if you'd like to check it out, go to twitch.tv/xtheoriginalsejx and peep the first couple streams. Hoping to stream at least a few days a week, so set your notifications so you know when he's streaming, or keep an eye out on Mike's Twitter; he'll probably let you know ahead of time when he'll be popping on!

Wow, you look great tonight. Thanks for letting me take you out to this weird restaurant for Valentine’s Day. Let me order us some Guinnesses and apps while we wait for a table to open up. I’ve heard this place has the best gumbo if you’re into that kind of thing. What do you do for a living? That’s very interesting. Me? I spend most of my days jerking it, speaking of which, can you pay for dinner? Where are you going? This isn’t what you wanted to hear? This isn’t even the right album? What does that mean
