On Monday's episode of the Juice Time Podcast, myself and Nick Osen had an incredible discussion following ESPN's 30 for 30 documentary, Long Gone Summer. We expressed our disappointment with the lack of coverage in regards to Sammy Sosa's MVP campaign during the 1998 MLB season, as the documentary was more centered around Mark McGwire becoming the single-season Home Run King. Even though it was not what most people were expecting in terms of highlighting both players' remarkable seasons, we managed to enjoy the film. On Friday's episode of the Juice Time Podcast, myself and Nick Osen discussed the recently approved plan for the NBA to finish out the 2019-2020 regular season and playoffs in Orlando at ESPN's Wide World of Sports complex. We shared our opinions on this unique format, considering only 22 of the league's 30 teams have been invited to complete their respective seasons. Throughout our discussion, we recognized the different feel and atmosphere these games may have without fans in a much smaller gym. Lastly, we both provided our way too early predictions for the Eastern and Western Conference Finals matchups. Overall, it was very exciting to talk about meaningful basketball again. We also wanted to recognize Vince Carter for finishing off his remarkable 22-year career in the NBA, as his Atlanta Hawks have officially ended their season.
