Friends of the Rosary,

Today is Independence Day, the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, issued by the Second Continental Congress, which met in Philadelphia.

On that day, the U.S achieved its place among the family of nations. Thirteen colonies set out to form a new form of unity and devised a new plan for government—the Constitution, and the United States began to grow rapidly.

The Catholic Church in the U.S. incorporates a special Mass into the liturgy, asking for peace, justice, and truth.

We also pray that God will bless America and make the nation a place of liberty and justice for all, born and unborn.
