Friends of the Rosary,
The Catholic Church honors today St. Josemaría Escrivá (1902-1975), a contemporary Spanish saint who founded Opus Dei and opened a new path of holiness by helping the faithful to sanctify themselves through performing ordinary work and daily duties with a Christian spirit.
Pope John Paul II canonized the founder of Opus Dei in 2002. The Holy Father said, "St. Josemaría was chosen by the Lord to proclaim the universal call to holiness and to indicate that everyday life, its customary activities, are a path towards holiness. It could be said that he was the saint of the ordinary."
Today, we are also invited to listen to and act on the words of Christ Jesus in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. This way we will be like a wise man whose house is built on rock, avoiding that our entire life collapses.
Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
Come, Holy Spirit, come!
To Jesus through Mary!
Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will.
Please give us the grace to respond with joy!
