There are many definitions of success and the one I liked the most is quoted by Earl Nightingale, “Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.” To be successful just means working towards a worthy idea or well-intended goal. If you have an idea of what you want to do or be you are on your way to success. Don’t compare yourself to others, go at your own pace, and keep progressing towards your worthy idea.

How can we be satisfied? This is a great question. To be satisfied you have to be fulfilled and fulfillment comes from someone or something being completed. As Americans, we live in a capitalist society meaning capitalize on everything, the more the better and I think when it’s unhealthy it turns into greed. We all set goals and when we achieve them, then what? Enjoy everyday for what it brings. In my twenties I used to think I could do like 5 years of work in one day because I wanted to get ahead, which lead me to burnout and exhaustion. I’ve learned to do what I can do at my pace being satisfied for that day. Even when God was creating the world He was satisfied with His creation for that day. That’s why in the good book it talks about praying for your daily bread because if you have too much you might neglect God and if you don’t have enough you might turn into a savage to get what you need. Be satisfied in the day to day process and enjoy every moment.

How do you prioritize your day? Studies say that your morning routine before you start your day can have a huge effect on how it goes. As I was reading Matthews 6:33 (Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these shall be added unto you) it is important to honor God first. What does that look like for me? (First, thanking God for another day, listening to some worship music, praying, etc.) If you take care of God's business, God will take care of your business! I just want to encourage you to be about God's business, first-things-first!

It’s so much drama going on all around and today I want it to be trouble-free. Turn off the news with all that negativity, minimize listening to anything that’s junk to your brain, mind your own business, and don’t cause any problems. To live a quiet and peaceful life is trouble-free.

Proverbs 15:22 - Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisors they succeed. 

When you receive counsel have discernment of who you take advice from. Sometimes people can lead you in the wrong direction because they are jealous or whatever reason. Ask God to lead you in the right direction along with putting the right people in your life to get you to where you need to be; and that is in the will of God, living in purpose.

Also if you walk with the wise you become wise! (Proverbs 13:20)

In this present time if you were able to relive your life 10 years ago knowing what you know now, what advice would you tell yourself? My advice to myself would be: Jonathan no one knows the vision that was placed in your heart and no one can take that from you. So, don’t listen to anyone that is telling you that your dreams are not achievable. Believe that with God all things are possible and know you’re going to shock the world.

Faith means to have complete trust or confidence in someone or something. In the bible there are plenty of passages about faith: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.” To break this down we can not see the wind, but we know it’s there when it blows or we can not see Wi-Fi, but we know it works when we have internet access. “You can not please God without faith.” You can’t see God, but if you had an encounter with Him you know He’s real. “Faith without works is dead.” God told Noah to build an Ark because it was going to rain for 40 days and 40 nights. Noah obeyed God’s instructions, at that time they never seen rain but his faith caused him to believe away. People laughed at Noah until it rained and the earth flooded. “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” The more you read His word the more faith you have or in other words the more dumbbell curls you do with your arms the bigger your arms get. Faith is like a muscle you have to build that thing. What is it that God spoke to you that you are unsure of? Do your part and know God has worked everything out for the good. When it doesn’t make sense, it makes faith.
