Part 1: History repeats itself with different trends like fashion, dance, music, social media, even investments. We hear things like, “This dress style is in and that’s old, this dance move was derived from something back in the 80’s, trap music is the movement now, time for a selfie to post it on Instagram and snapchat, invest in this because this is the next big thing.” There are trends everywhere. Think outside the box to change or develop how the majority of things are done. Look at Amazon and the way we shop online. They are constantly setting trends. You are an original and the things you do can be a trend that you are creating for others to embrace. Trend set!

Each day that goes by is being counted towards something either better or worse. That’s why we have to “watch-out” meaning be aware of the decisions we're making every day. Time is ticking and before you know it, 1 or 5 or 10 years will go by and you’ll wonder how you got there. Pay attention to the relationships you keep, how you manage your finances, what you are eating and drinking, how much exercise your doing, what your feeding your mind, everything your doing. Be alert and watch-out.

Nike slogan is “Just Do It!” It doesn’t matter what it is, just do it. Wanting something bad enough you make things happen. Your desired outcome is greater than the process allowing you to get things done. Whatever you need to accomplish for today just make it happen captain! As an athlete, I desired to be the fastest and strongest person pound for pound during my high school senior year. What did that look like? I would workout at least 5-6 days out of the week no matter what. There were definitely days I wanted to skip out on but through the consistency and determination I achieved my goal. Make it happen captain.

To get to the subconscious you have to first go through the conscious. Your conscious is the part of your mind that’s aware of and responding to one’s surroundings. When you are doing something new your conscious is working to process everything that’s going on. The subconscious is the part of the mind that’s not fully aware but which influences one’s actions and feelings. In other words, it’s your automatic responses or things you don’t think about and just do. Brushing your teeth, getting dressed, driving, or eating you don’t have to think about because it’s now apart of our subconscious. Ninety-five percent of the things we do are automated from our subconscious. If you don’t want to be a 95% robot, awaken your conscious mind to regulate your subconscious. Every day do something new and different, learn something new, wake up because there are a lot of people that are subconsciously sleeping.

Part 1
On a Saturday I visited my sister and brother-in-law to spend some time with them and my nieces. My oldest niece who was nine, now eleven was having a fundraiser for her school. She had asked me if I wanted to contribute and I hesitated because her presentation to me needed some work. I asked her how many people she signed up on the list and it was two. Now I know my niece is a superstar, so with permission from her parents she was allowed to go out in her neighborhood ask for more donations. Before me and her went outside, she had to work on her presentation. In one hour, we came back with 12 more names signed on her fundraiser sheet. The secret was to let her know she was a superstar and give her a little support. Her confidence was out the roof and she was determined to fill up the entire fundraiser sheet. I’m telling you this story because you are a superstar just like my niece and you have my support. I’m rooting for you to do amazing things today on this superstar Saturday.

Bio: Heavin is eleven years old, a rising superstar, unique, very creative making a difference in her community and around the world. An entrepreneur and a CEO of "I Love Me" Apparel. She came up with the brand “I Love Me” because in this world a lot of girls don't like themselves because of body shaming, acne, media images and their skin color.
In first grade she experienced being bullied because of her height, being double jointed and skinny. Her classmates would make fun of her and it made her feel insecure about her body image. After taking time to herself and with some encouraging words from her parents, she regained her confidence. Now she embraces her height, skin complexion and body image being more confident than ever and hopes to pass this on to other girls in this world.
She want all girls to embrace their uniqueness. Heavin is passionate about “I Love Me” apparel and inspired to making all girls feel good about themselves.

This is a very tough topic forgiving. I know because talking about it certain names and situations come to mind. I’m not perfect either and I need forgiveness too. When you forgive you free yourself, no longer having resentment towards someone for that mistake or offense. It is hard to do, but best to do. Also forgive yourself for allowing certain things to happen to yourself. You do not want to block out blessings and opportunities to advance in life. If you've wronged somebody reach out to them and ask for forgiveness and if someone wronged you forgive them. You are bigger and better than what you did or what had happened to yourself. Free yourself and forgive.

Never get to the point where you take someone or something for granted. Having an attitude of gratitude will open up many opportunities for you in life. A simple thank you to God for allowing you another day is a blessing. Count up all the little things you are grateful for and your outlook on life will change. Be thankful.
Moving from Michigan to Oklahoma was exhilarating for my transition and scary for the unknown surroundings. Me being me, I didn’t too much care as long as I didn’t have the same experiences as up North. My first week in Tulsa, I thought those people were weird because they were just so friendly and I wasn’t use to this. Because of the welcoming spirit of the people out there it literally changed my life completely. They didn’t judge me and had open arms for me, saturating me with love and compassion. Just a little kindness, opened up my blindness to not be so cold to people. Now I have more of an open-heart and hopefully I have the same effect on others like Tulsa had on me. My message to you today is to be more welcoming.

Talent is like potential or ability. You possess it, but if you don’t do anything with it, what good is having it? Sometimes we over look our talent because it’s just natural, we don’t think about it when we use it. Without the discipline to hone your special skills you will end up average. Our gift will make room for us, but to keep us there we need to have character along with always refining it. Your gift is not for you, it is for you to display unto the world, being a blessing to others and letting your light shine.
