Just Positive Passages

A fairy tale mindset thinks like this, “I’ll sit on my butt and wait, everything I’ve imagined will fall into my lap.” The way I used the word wait in that sentence implies to stay, or to be, in expectation or readiness. We all know everything we have imagined won’t fall into our lap. There are somethings in between that need to take place for you to get what you imagined. If you know your waiting on something then you should be getting prepared. Here’s an example, a woman says “I’m waiting on my husband.” If she is not getting prepared, having her own place, taking care of her own bills, knowing how to cook and clean, saving her virginity for her husband instead of thotting around than the chances of her getting wife’d up are very slim. “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.” It doesn’t say, “He that finds a woman...” The woman is a wife before she gets married because she is preparing for her husband to come. Whatever we are waiting for we need to be getting ready for it. Luck is when preparation meets opportunity, increase your chances by being prepared. Wait on it.

The truth will always set you free. The day was very slow while working at one of my jobs and either me or my coworker could leave, still getting paid for that day along with anyone not noticing; management or customers. Well, I stayed and the other person left. Now the next day I was pulled in the office to get questioned about yesterday. I shared with management the truth admitting I was in the wrong and the other individual told another story. The end result was I still kept my job and the other person was terminated. Because of the truth I received a second chance. Be truthful.

It’s sad that negativity spreads at least eleven times faster than something positive. On the news or radio the majority of the reports are about a death or injury from a crime scene of some sort and rumors about so and so did this absurd action. When we have a bad experience, we tend to share it to family, friends, or even a random person before we say something good to them. Today is about saying or doing something nice and kind. Having an positive effect on someone is way more attractive than bringing someone bad news. Let’s focus our energies on promoting positive and let that action have a multiplying effect on others to do the same.

It’s useful to have a social life cultivating new and healthy relationships with your peers. Network in areas of your career and various organizations. Your network equals your net worth. It is extremely important to surround yourself around awesome people that are heading in the same direction as you or that are further in life than you. We have friends, we have family, and we have both which is framily when friends become like family. I have two biological brothers and one brother-in-law totaling three amazing brothers in my immediate family. Then I have a whole bunch of bros that I kick it with like family. They all play a significant role in my life, some I’m closer to than others and overall, we are all cool. Having a social group that’s like family is beneficial in my life, ultimately giving me a sense of belonging and a place I can be free. You can’t should your family but you can select your framily. There are plenty of people that could benefit from your knowledge. If you are in the position to help someone else or others keep your eyes open to find you a mentee.
