Vitamin D with Dawn Dai

Just "Stand"

Listen Later

I had someone recently ask me, "Dawn, is it hard?" And at first, I was perplexed because I wasn't sure what they were referring to, but we were on the topic of me pursuing my dreams. Me over here at KJLH hosting Front Page. Also, me right here with you, hosting "Vitamin D with Dawn Dai."

And at first I was perplexed and I replied, "I've been preparing for this moment my entire life." But as I sit here with you, I think to myself, "yes, it is hard." And oftentimes the hardest part is just showing up. But what happens when you're already in the room? When you have the desire and you've ignited it, but trials and tribulations come your way?

Now you could fall, but on the other hand, you can stand. See, it doesn't help to worry about a situation. What do they say? "Either you worry or you're going to pray or you're going to pray, but you can't worry. They too cannot coexist as one." And in that moment, when you don't know what to do, what do we hear? "Peace be still."

And it reminds me of the track by Donnie McClurkin, "Stand." And he says, "What do you do when you've done all you can? And it seems like it's never enough." Well, in it he says, "You stand." "Tell me, what do you give when you've given your all and it seems like you can't make it through?" Well, you just stand.

Half of the battle is just weathering the storm, whether you like it or not. But you can't fail, if you don't quit. We hear it in Psalms 23, "For I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I fear no evil for your rod and your staff thy comfort me." Your truth will comfort you. Your vision will comfort you. Your passion will comfort you.

How bad do you want it? Stop looking around and look within and just stand.

Alright. That's it for your dose of "Vitamin D." Be sure to follow us on all social media @VitaminDDawnDai and until next time, always remember, "you are your greatest asset."
