This week Anika tells us the far too forgotten tragedy of a soul taken too soon. Judith Barsi led way too short of a life and could have been saved by the system. She touched my heart as a child, how about yours?

Lacy then goes on to talk about the bullying crisis we are facing daily. Children get bullied at school, adults bully on the internet. How far is too far? How many young lives need to be lost for us to DO SOMETHING. The children I talk about in this episode should have had help. One young man among many others im sure are still fighting to have what was done to them be brought to justice..

Lets all remember, no matter who you are or how you feel about anything really. We all still have to live on the same world, why make it miserable?

On the morning of December 22, 2016 Taylor Anne McAllister, 22, was found brutally murdered in St. Petersburg, Florida. 

Taylor was found around 8 A. M. in an alley on 63rd Ave. S. by a man collecting cans. She’d been brutally beaten, bruised, and was nude from the waist down. Her body was covered in bug bites and tire tracks. Her neck, face, and chest had severe hemorrhaging. According to the medical examiner, her eyes had the worst petechia that he’d ever seen. The inside of her mouth was filled with cuts, bruises, and abrasions. Her cause of death was listed as homicide by asphyxiation. 

DNA under her fingernails and on her neck matched Robert “Bertie” Butler, son of the founder of Bob’s Carpet Mart. She was removed from his residence after Butler called four individuals to pick her up. They drove her lifeless body over 25 miles away and dumped her in the alley. Butler’s DNA was the only one found on Taylor’s body. 

Despite DNA and testimony from participants, no one has been charged with her murder. 

We’re begging anyone with any information, no matter how small you think it may be, please contact the St. Petersburg Police Department at 727-893-7780. Please help bring justice for this precious girl’s parents and surviving twins.

In this episode Anika tells us about the horrible tragedy commonly known as the West Mesa Murders or West Mesa Bone collector. She takes us through the discovery of the disaster, and also the very strong victim impact statements that remind us no matter how "High risk" someone choses to live their life they are still a person. Every time someone is looked as less than because of their career choice or addiction we are saying they mean less than we do.  They are still people. Lacy finishes off with a lighter story of a creepy haunted.... or not haunted forest in Romania named Hoia Baciu.
