This week Anika tells the story of young Victoria Martens. Victoria was an innocent child who was failed over and over by her mother. She continuously allowed people she hardly knew or didn't know at all around her child in order to have companionship. She attempted to be a good mom for a short period of time, but it was not enough. Should we hold neglectful parents responsible for murder when they are so passive they allow harm to come to their child? Let us know your thoughts!

This week Krystle will discuss the mass shooting in west Texas. Its something all three of us lived through and we discuss our emotions on that day as well as the flags that could have prevented this tragedy from happening. On August 31, 2019, a spree shooting occurred in the West Texas cities of Midland and Odessa when a gunman shot multiple people from a vehicle. Eight people were killed, including the perpetrator, and twenty-five people were injured, including three police officers.

Child abuse is always a hard topic to talk about. What's even more tragic is when it isn't talked about. This week Lacy takes us through the tragic life of Lauren Kavanaugh. This sweet angel was denied so many chances to have a normal good life. She went from having two parents who loved and adored her, to be ripped away and placed in the hands of awful human beings. These two monsters, who should have  never been parents took it in their own hands to destroy the light inside a young girl. Barbara "Barbie" and Kenneth "Kenny" Adkinson are monsters who should never ever be deserved to see the light of day again. Lauren is still fighting the trauma that was inflicted on her, and there is still time to show her that the system isn't totally against her and against victims. Will we be able to save her? How many children need to be failed by our system for someone to fix it? How can we fix it? If you see something, say something. Please help prevent this kind of tragedy from happening over and over again.

Barbara Ann "Bobbie" Hackmann Taylor, also known as the "Tent Girl", was an unidentified homicide victim for nearly 30 years after her body was found on May 17, 1968 near Georgetown, Kentucky. She was referred to as "Tent Girl" because of material wrapped around her. Anika will take us through her story this week along with efforts made to find her identity and another possible victim of this man.

Charles was a bad boy who hated the world and gave up on life at an early age. He went from being well behaved to lashing out at anyone in his path. When he meets 13 year old Caril Ann Fugate he has a little ambition in life. Quitting school and uprooting everything so he could see her at every chance. Garnett-Paul Thompson Spears was a 5-year-old boy who died at a hospital in suburban Valhalla, New York. The cause of death was determined to be high levels of sodium leading to swelling in his brain. Cary Stayner is the older brother of Steven Stayner, a child kidnapped by child molester Kenneth Parnell. He was held captive for more than 7 years. This week Krystle tells us of Steven Gregory Stayner was a 7 year old boy who was taken by Child molester Kenneth Parnell. He was help by his abductor 200 miles away from his home. When he was 14 years old he was able to escape with another one of Parnell's victims. He knew that he couldn't let another little boy Suffer. When Steven was first taken he did not know he was so close to home, the first night in the cabin he was taken to he was molested for the first time. He was told his whole life living with Parnell that his family did not want him, and gave him to him. He changed Stevens name to Dennis Gregory to enroll him in school. Steven never forgot his real family and even tried to tell a group of friends who chalked it up to the teen being intoxicated. As he entered puberty Parnell decided he needed to find a younger victim. Stayner was made to be an accomplice, although he botched all kidnapping attempts. Parnell later got one of Stevens friends to help they kidnapped 5 year old Timothy White. Knowing the fate the boy was facing Steven took Timothy. They ended up in front of a police station where their identities became known and they were reunited with their families.  What happens to them afterwards???
