His bluebirds bouncing off the KITM World Headquarters transom windows might now be replaced by bluegills, yet David Waldman was able to arrive in freshly washed sweatpants to greet our birthday boy Greg Dworkin 🥳🤩🎂! Today, Greg received his absolute favorite gift: fresh polls!
The polls sure are looking good for a presidential election today! (Narrator: “There was no presidential election on that day.”) Inflation and the cost of living are more important than destroying federal government for most people, although destroying the lives of individual federal workers isn’t off the table. People are beginning to dislike Republicans. Of course, they continue to despise Democrats, so maybe Dems should hire a few consultants to put together a focus group or something...
Too late! Gops passed their fat and ugly TLDR bill. It was too long and complex for its Gop authors to read, and now too late for an interception on the 40-yard line.
Oh well, rules are rules, and even then, the Gops can get around them. The DOJ doesn’t need a Public Integrity Section anymore. The CDC doesn’t need to warn anybody about diseases anymore. The government doesn’t need to tell anyone where they sent you anymore. Nobody needs to invest in the United States anymore.
Most importantly for Donald K. Trump, no one is in his way anymore, and all of his toilets will be golden from this moment on. Donald has his golden 747 now, he doesn’t need permission, he doesn’t need excuses. He doesn’t really want it for Air Force One, he just wanted it, and that was enough.
It will still be interesting to watch how the next world leader handles the Oval Office hotseat.
