  • Royals Trade for Benintendi & College Hoops
The Royals made some big news this week with a trade for Andrew Benintendi.
We have seen all three local colleges play this week, Kansas twice. Missouri had a bad one. Kansas won back-to-back games for the first time since early January. And even though Kansas State lost, they played much better than we have seen most of the season.

  • Super Bowl and Kansas and Missouri wins
The Super Bowl is slowly coming into view. We are just a few days away. There is always talk from one player or another, and with nothing else for the media to talk about, things get way overblown. I’m going to talk about what exactly this Super Bowl means to Patrick Mahomes, the other players, the coaches, the franchise, and the city. And it means a lot.
I’ll also discuss the Kansas win over Kansas State on Tuesday, and the Missouri win over Kentucky on Wednesday.

The San Diego Padres are making big moves for starting pitching, and the traditional baseball media is whining that more teams aren’t doing the same. I will explain the problems with those arguments.

This episode is packed with all kinds of interesting information. I discussed Missouri's win over Liberty. I talked about the Chiefs and Tigers games this weekend. I touched on Royals Rule 5 Draft information and their new minor league affiliate possibilities. I congratulated Matt Besler for living a dream by playing for his hometown team. I wrapped things up by discussing the MLS losses this past year and how they cannot financially afford another year like 2020 and ESPN's new contract with the SEC for football. There was a lot.  Enjoy! I loved talking about these things.

  • Kansas loses to Gonzaga, Missouri wins, and oh K-State
Kansas played terrible defense but actually did ok on the offensive end but lost to Gonzaga to start their season. Missouri looked good in a win over Oral Roberts. Kansas State has a long way to go if they don't want to finish at the bottom of the Big 12.
