Karate in the Garage

It's the first true Kickstart for October 2026! (Joe was sick for over a week, which is why there wasn't a movie episode last week, too.)

The pic below is the gig poster from the 9/30/2026 Jack White show at the Hollywood Palladium with Twin Temple opening. (Making that crossroads picture all the more appreciated!) Artwork is from Rob Jones and you can follow him in Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/animalrummy/?hl=en

This is not your normal Kickstart. No Joe today. (He's sick.) Just me. And the topic isn't light...

I apologize if this topic is a trigger for your trauma. My choice to talk about this is to help, not to hurt. But I understand the very conversation is hurtful.

SPECTEMBER 2026 is slowly coming to a close. With there being release days this month, we're gonna' call it and say "there are 4.5 movie episodes this month" as this one is a wee bit short. (This is the trouble of discovering a movie not a lot of people have seen, and not wanting to spoil a really fun movie.)

It's 2017's GHOST STORIES!

From IMDB: After receiving a file with details of three unexplained cases of apparitions, skeptical professor Phillip Goodman embarks on a terrifying trip.

As of 9/23/2026, GHOST STORIES is streaming on AMC+/Shudder, Pluto, Tubi, The Roku Channel (w/ ads), and kanopy. It's also available to rent digitally on all of the major platforms.
