It's the last Kickstart for UGH-IST 2026! So sad. So, so, sad.

More show notes to come...

We close out UGH-IST 2026 with one probably didn't surprise you when you saw the name. (Or at the very least, it's not unexpected considering the theme.)

Uwe Boll's House of the Dead is a movie. People say words on the screen and you can see them say those words. Also, it cost money to make House of the Dead. It wasn't done for free. House of the Dead reportedly was a $12m movie.

k.

From IMDB: A group of college students travels to a mysterious island to attend a rave, which is soon taken over by bloodthirsty zombies. (The zombies are apparently "bloodthirsty" but that must be like a murderous pirate is "bloodthirsty." The zombies don't eat flesh in House of the Dead. - Corey)

House of the Dead is currently streaming on MovieSphere+ and Plex (with Ads). It is also available to rent digitally everywhere. GO SEE MOVIES!

ENJOY!

UGH-IST 2026 keep on trucking... RIIIIGHT into some dark stuff.

As the title states, this week's movie lives in doom and gloom, and shows how evil people are. It's not an easy wacth at times. Other times, it's fairly tame.

It's 2016's Dark Crimes with Jim Carrey in a very different role for him, which I think was the point.

From IMDB: A detective who is working on a cold case turns to clues found in an author's hit novel. (While not exactly inaccurate, the logline isn't totally accurate, either. - Corey)

UGH-UST 2026 starts off with bang John McClane style! It's A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD starring Bruce Willis, Jai Courtney, and nobody else you'll recognize. (Outside of Cole Hauser's 2 min before taking a headshot.)

From IMDB: John McClane travels to Russia to help out his seemingly wayward son, Jack, only to discover that Jack is a CIA operative working undercover, causing the father and son to team up against underworld forces.
