Karate in the Garage

It's the first KS of February and like Molly Ringwald's period in For Keeps, it's late!

BAM! Here it is. Our tardy and final entry for our January Dumpings month with Dominic Sena's Season of the Witch with KITG's "mascot" Nicolas Cage! This 2011 romp also features Ron Pearlman, Robert Sheehan, and featuring Claire Foy.

It's the 13th century and there are witches and plagues and boils and puss and death and swords and priests and a whole lot more!

ENJOY!

It's the return of Kickstart! And it's BACK with an EXTRA LARGE dose of vengeance of Blu-ray chatter, a travel story from Freddy, and a middle finger for the Razzies.

Happy Friday the 13th! We hope you all left cookies, milk, and skin moisturizer out for Jason Voorhees! (He prefers la prairie from Switzerland. I know, I know. It's two car payments. But isn't your life worth it?)

Continuing the Dumped in January month, we have David Cronenberg's Scanners! With one of the most iconic special effects make-ups scenes in film history, this sci-fi thriller drove people to theaters in January 1981 to check "that scene" pulling in a cool $14.2mn for New World.

Enjoy!

Hey. It's 2023. Ain't nothin' but a number.

So is 1990. It, too, is a year. On it's 19th day, a little movie called Tremors was dropped onto the world. And like with most movies dumped in January, the world wasn't ready.

It would take six months before the majority of the planet would really find out what this kick ass movie was about when it hit VHS.

32 years and 6 sequels later, we're here to talk about the first movie in our Dumped in January series.

So, come with us as we talk about Kevin Bacon, Fred Ward, Finn Carter, Michael Gross, and survivor Reba McEntire and their fight for the life with a desert full of Grabnoids.

Thanks to work and COVID, this month's theme is being abbreviated to just three movies.

The first of the three Ghost of Christmas Movies Past is John Irvin's 1981 classic Ghost Story with Fred Astaire, Melvyn Douglas, Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., John Houseman, Craig Wasson, and Alice Krige.

Nothing to say other than "ENJOY!"

Here is the last of the "Buddy Cop" series from November. As you know, I (Corey) got COVID a few days before Thanksgiving, and it took me a bit of time to feel well enough to edit again. (Hell, I finally was well enough to record just today. It also took a long time just to not feel like I need to go to the hospital every other hour.)

Today, we have Bill Duke's instant crime classic Deep Cover from 1992 with Larry Fishburne, Jeff Goldblum, Charles Martin Smith, Victoria Dillard, and Clarence Williams III.

We apologize the delayed release and we hope you enjoy the episode!

We hope everyone enjoyed their time with their loved ones either in person or digitally.

We apologize for the delayed release of this episode (and the two following it). One of us got COVID and had to outsource editorial, which itself was delayed.
