DNA analyst Andre Porto testified that John’s DNA was on clothing, glass shards, and tail-light fragments but also detected at least two unknown contributors untested against key suspects. Forensic scientist Ashley Valor reconstructed most tail-light pieces linking them to Karen’s vehicle and revealed a six-week evidence delay handled by Trooper Proctor. Defense attorney Yannetti highlighted untested DNA mixtures and procedural lapses to challenge investigative integrity. Trial resumes Monday morning.
