A palm wine tapper, identified as Yaw Tibembem, has assaulted his wife at Mlayem TDkrom in the Lower Denkyira Municipality of the Ashanti Region. The husband reportedly committed the act during a heated argument over dried herring locally known as Nsesaawa.

The Tamale Circuit Court has granted bail with two sureties to a 35-year-old teller, Elorm Cofie Cudjoe, for alleged defilement. This was after he pleaded guilty to the charges of defilement against him in the court presided over by Twumesi Williams on Friday.

A gay couple have been arrested by the Kasoa New Market Police after one inflicted cutlass wounds on the right hand of the partner over alleged cheating.
