Over 110 suspected criminals have been arrested in a swoop by the Kasoa Divisional Police Command in the Central Region. The police command indicated that the swoop forms part of measures to intensify security in Kasoa to reduce the rampant killings and robbery attacks in the area.

Police and military officers clashed at the Suame suburb of Kumasi on Friday over the arrest of a military officer for flouting traffic regulation. Some military officers stormed the Suame Divisional Police Headquarters and assaulted police officers in an attempt to free their colleague from custody.

A 16-year-old boy, dressed as a woman, has been arrested by the Juaboso police. The boy, whose name has been withheld, was spotted wearing a brassiere, lady’s pant, jeans and other items at Sehwi Prosohene Nkwanta in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region.

The Inspector-General of Police Dr. George Akuffo-Dampare has airlifted three Police officers who sustained serious injuries while on duty to receive medical care in Accra. Police officers who were en route to perform an operation were involved in a crash on the Walewale-Bolgatanga highway, leaving two dead and three others in critical condition.

A 35-year-old woman has allegedly committed suicide over her ‘cheating’ husband at Kasoa Oldtimers in the Central Region. The deceased, identified as Rebecca Amoah, reportedly committed the act in the late afternoon of Thursday.
