Supporters and opponents of Ghana's new anti-LGBT bill faced off in parliament on Wednesday in the first public hearings into the proposed legislation that would make it a crime to be gay, bisexual or transgender.

One person has died on the spot while two are in critical condition in an accident at Gomoa Bewadze on the Winneba – Apam Highway. The accident, that occurred around 5:00pm Tuesday evening, involved a Hyundai Sonata GN 287-17 and a tipper truck with registration number, GN 6412-19.

Pupils at the Bonakye-Asogya M/A Basic School in the Nkwanta South District of the Oti Region are forced to either sit on the floor or kneel for hours during lessons due to lack of desks in the school. On a visit to the school, Adom News‘ correspondent, Obrempongba Owusu, observed that the school, aside the desks, also lacks essential teaching and learning materials.

Deceased Ghanaian Highlife musician, Nana Kwame Ampadu will be honoured with a 40-day memorial service according to Kwahu customs. According to the late musician’s sixth son, Anthony Kwabena Amoah Gyimah Ampadu, instead of a one-week observation, a 40-day memorial service will be held in his honour.

Some police personnel from the Assin Fosu Divisional Police Command in the Central Region were pelted with stones by angry construction workers working on the Assin Fosu-Praso road.
